NYFW Fall/Winter 2025
This Thursday marks the beginning of New York Fashion Week (NYFW) Fall/Winter 2025, one of the most anticipated events in the fashion world, which will showcase an exciting blend of returning icons and emerging talents. As designers, stylists, and fashion lovers from around the globe gather in NYC to showcase and witness the latest trends, I can’t help but feel the energy and excitement that comes with a week of creativity, innovation, and style.
I find endless inspiration during NYFW—not just from the runway collections, but also from the bold and unique styles worn by the guests in attendance. NYFW is more than just a series of shows, it gives fashion enthusiasts new sources of inspiration, business insight, and a glimpse into where fashion is headed next.
This season’s NYFW (February 6-11, 2025) is already shaping up to be one to remember. Here’s what I’m looking forward to:
NYFW Highlights
Christopher John Rogers Closing Opening Day
After a five-year hiatus, Rogers returns to NYFW, closing opening day. If you don’t remember his name, then you haven’t paid attention! He is the Met Gala fit plug. known for his bold, vibrant designs that always push the boundaries of color, silhouette, and luxury. Renowned for his exuberant and unapologetic boldness, this is one of the shows I’m most excited to see… by far!

Streetwear’s Continued Influence on High Fashion
With brands like Thom Browne and Altuzarra on the schedule, we’re bound to see more elevated streetwear aesthetics, mixing tailoring, layering, and unexpected details. Doechii just recently made history and accepted her first Grammy for best rap album; she served Thom Browne looks, highlighting his signature structured aesthetic and bold twist on fashion, and they were GIVING.

Sustainability & Upcycling on the Runway
More designers are embracing repurposed textiles, reworked garments, and sustainable production methods. As someone passionate about ethical sourcing and upcycling, I’m always excited to see how much high fashion has moved toward more ethical and innovative approaches.
This season, the schedule is more streamlined, with several designers opting out, choosing to present their collections elsewhere or on different schedules. However, despite these departures, NYFW continues to thrive, offering a platform for emerging talents to make impactful debuts. This season, designers such as Zoe Gustavia Anna Whalen, LeBlancStudios, Gabe Gordon, Vettese, and Yamil Arbaje are making their first appearances on the official Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) calendar.
